Sodium allyl sulfonate（HANERCHEM® SAS）is light yellow or colorless liquid. It is miscibille with water, soluble in alcohol and slightly soluble in benzene. It has two double-bonds at position αand β. Because of its active reaction character, it can be used as monomer for acrylic fiber, which would improve heat resistance, elasticity, spinning and dyeing performance of fiber, with better color fastness and brighter color. It can also be used as monomer for emulsion polymerization of vinyl acetate, acrylate, styrene-butadiene, etc. it can copolymerize with acrylamide to produce industrial water treatment. It can also be used as additive of oil drilling slurry, superplasticizer and early strength agent of cement, medicine intermediate, as well as Ni plating brightener, which can improve the ductility of metal at a general amount of 2～0.5 g/L.
